September: Angular.js with Mike Ward

Details

AngularJS is a tool-set for building the framework most suited to your application development. It is fully extensible and works well with other libraries. Every feature can be modified or replaced to suit your unique development work-flow and feature needs.

Other frameworks deal with HTML’s shortcomings by either abstracting away HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript or by providing an imperative way for manipulating the DOM. Neither of these address the root problem that HTML was not designed for dynamic views.

In this talk we'll write a basic Web application that explores the (super cool) declarative aspects of AngularJS. I'll demonstrate two-way data bindings and animations (because animations are always fun). You'll have an opportunity to write your own application and discover just how easy it is to get started using AngularJS.

Mike Ward

I started programming when the dress code was bearskin. My 15 seconds of fame came when I wrote HyperTerminal for Windows 95. I've programmed in assembly, Fortran, C++, C#, numerous scripting languages, and I am an expert in nothing. Mostly, I just make this stuff up as a go along. My home on the Web is at http://mike-ward.net (http://mike-ward.net/), where I openly display my mistakes for others to learn from.
