Kevin Dangoor will introduce Brackets, an open source project started by Adobe to build a web-focused code editor using web technologies. He'll dig in to how Brackets works and how you add a bit of your own JavaScript magic to make Brackets do whatever you want.
Bio
The computer that Kevin Dangoor uses today is about 30 bajillion times more powerful than the computer on which he started learning programming. Over the past few years, Kevin has been very involved in open source software. He founded the CommonJS project in 2009 while working on Mozilla Bespin. He was engineering manager and then product manager for Firefox developer tools before joining Adobe to work on Brackets in December 2012. Prior to Mozilla, Kevin founded the TurboGears Python web framework project and Paver Python project scripting tool. He has also written a series of children's fantasy novels called 11 Quests.
