Hacktoberfest

Details
Have you ever wanted to contribute to open source, but were a bit intimidated to get started? Or maybe you've heard of it, but not quite sure how it works? Or you've seen the sweet Hacktoberfest t-shirts some folks wear to work and wondered how you could get one for yourself? Or you want to help others learn how to contribute?
You're in luck. SEM.js is trying something a little different this month, and is hosting a Hacktoberfest party. We'll start off with a 20-minute introduction to open source and Hacktoberfest, then invite any local maintainers to give a 2-3 minute description of their project and areas they could use help with, and finally give a chance for everyone to break out their computers and get a pull request submitted. If you submit 4 in October, you'll get a T-shirt!
Please be sure to sign up for a free GitHub account before the event if you don't have one already. https://github.com/join
