Holy Thursday -Seven Churches Pilgrimage

“Were you not able to keep watch with me one hour?” – Matthew 26:40

We will car-pool and visit seven Alters Of Repose in the Detroit area. Goal is to visit historic downtown detroit parishes I have an escape that can hold 4 passengers, i will post schedule of curches, and copies of map and prayers for all. We'll meet at Sacred Heart Parish returning to Sacred Heart for everyone's cars. I have done this for the past several years and it has really helped me be spiratually ready for Easter
The Seven Churches visitation grew out of the penance given to pilgrims to visit the seven basilicas of Rome in the 16th Century. The practice has proliferated around the world and today is popular in Italy, Poland, Mexico, and the Philippines.

Please note that Sacred Heart Parish also has
a simple soup supper in the parish hall at 5:30pm (open to all) and
Mass of The Lord's Supper at 7:00 pm in the main church.
Prayers at the Alter of Repose will begin after mass in the Parish Hall where we will gather for our pilgrimage. We will meet inside to the left of the door to the parish hall
