Birding at Econ River Wilderness Area

Join us for a 3-mile walk through the Econ River Wilderness Area, a 240-acre park that is part of the Seminole County Natural Lands Program. We will look for upland and wetland birds in pine flatwoods, sandhill and wetland habitats. This is the wilderness area that SAS has been conducting monthly bird surveys at for 2023. Please meet at 7:45 am at the kiosk in the parking area and bring water, snacks, insect repellent, and birding equipment. No restrooms are at this site.
