Northwest Branch Outdoor Bouldering

Let’s try some outdoor bouldering this weekend! This area has a a huge variety of boulders ranging from V0-V11+ on either side of the Northwest branch of the Anacostia River. No outdoor bouldering experiencee required to participate. If you have a bouldering pad, please bring it so we have plenty to go around. It is imortant to remember that outdoor bouldering is very different from indoor bouldering. Terrain is uneven in the fall zone which makes pad placements and spotters necessary. Us being a large group, I will encouage us to break into smaller groups and spread out in the area so we are not dominating any one boulder and preventing others from climbing.
