This 3.5m loop trail is located where Arden Way ends. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 15 min to complete.

This is a very popular area for birding, road biking, and running. The William B. Pond Recreation Area is one of the most well-established parks along the American River and a great place to hike, fish, run, and cycle. This route starts a bit north, following the American River Bike Trail across a bridge. It then picks up a dirt singletrack trail that follows the river and eventually travels the perimeter of the pond until it connects back to the bike path.
