What we're about

IoT-SensemakersAMS is a volunteer based community dedicated to connecting people and sharing knowledge, ideas & hands-on experience.

Everybody is welcome: Technical, non-technical or just interested. If you like to know more, be involved or are just curious: Just come to one of our meetups:
• 1th Wednesday: DIY hands-on (http://www.sensemakersams.org/about/lets-meet-up/projects/) in the Makerspace at OBA (https://www.oba.nl/), there are 3Dprinters, lasercutters, sensors arduino, RaspberryPi etc. We also learn by collaborating on projects that impact the city (waterquality, sound) with e.g. Marineterrein (https://www.marineterrein.nl/), Waag (http://waag.org) & SensingClues (https://sensingclues.org/)

• 3th Wednesday: Sharing knowledge, ideas & connecting people at CodamCollege (https://www.codam.nl/)

• Random: handson workshops, excursions or whatever comes up:-)

As we want to bring you interesting speakers, who can share their thoughts, experiences and/or wisdom, we would appreciate you tipping us off when you know or heard about someone!

Presentations from earlier meetups can be found on our website (http://www.sensemakersams.org/about/documentation/)

Do-It-Yourself @ Sensemakers Labs

Amsterdam Public Library (OBA)

Every first Wednesday of the month we have a non-organized meetup were OBA sponsors us with their location. During this evening you can start learning to work with Arduino, Microbit or work on a prototype to 3Dprint etc. Note that we don't provide a course, it is all about DIY, but you can also collaborate on mutual projects or find people to join your own projects! Currently we are collaborating on sensing sound & the monitoring of water quality. We start at 18:00 and end the evening around 21:00. There are 3Dprinters, lasercutters, tools and enough outlets available! So just bring your laptop & ideas and lets get going! For ideas & materials you can also check: http://www.sensemakersams.org/about/lets-meet-up/projects/ There is a cafe on the split level on the ground floor, but please note that food & drinks are not allowed in the makerspace. If you want to sponsor us hardware, software and/or (cloud)services, please contact Ted or Manon. Sensemakers Internet-of-Things

Amsterdam Public Library (OBA)

Location changed!! Talk 2: Lorna Goulden, director Digital Experience, initiator of Eindhoven IoT meetup. Talk 1: A backbone for crowdsourcing sensordata @ SurfSara Sensemakers is involved in collaborations on gathering data around sound-polution, waterquality and more. We will give you an update on these projects and learnings and David Šálek from SurfSara will explain the backbone they have configured for us and the ways it can be used (dashboard, create your own graphs, create (a) Jupyter notebook(s) to access the cooked and raw data and do anything with the data Python allows, publication service via MQTT) Every 3th Wednesday of the month we have presentations, open mic & discussions about IoT-related subjects. Doors open at 18.00 at our host Codam College for networking & discussing projects. Presentations usually start at 19h & end around 20.30 with "open mic" when you can share your own story/event/question. ==================================== Everybody is welcome: Technical, non-technical or just interested. Familiedag Zelf Meten ism JuniorIOT.nl

OBA library of Amsterdam

Deze bijeenkomst is in het Nederlands, but there will be enough English speaking people present to help you out!
