Welcome to our weekly meetups at Joey's Dice Latte, now DCC (directions at the bottom). We stopped counting at 142nd in December 2017 :) Here are things to know:
- it has a good selection of games (and no fee for using them). But you are welcome to bring your own games, too! In case you wonder what we play: go to https://boardgamegeek.com/ and browse some entries in "The Hotness" for a good idea. Yes, we teach games and welcome newcomers! We occasionally do play MtG and miniature wargames (X-Wing, etc.), through it is not that common. Don't expect chess or scrabble (but we can probably put you in touch with those who like them!). There are some RPG groups that meet at the cafe, too, though this happens on Wednesdays.
- English-speaking staff (owner is an expat)
- it opens 11 am. Most people arrive from about noon-ish. If you arrive mid-day or in the evening, you should be able to join a game, but in the worst case, you may have to wait an hour or so for them to finish. We finish around 10-11pm, but you can leave whenever. It's a free world :)*Dice Late is a board game cafe and as such charges per time spent there. The prices are more or less in-line with other Korean game cafes.
*Food! Good food! (Western stale). Chilli, hot dogs, ... beer! (Imported!)
Directions: DCC is located 10 minutes from Janghanpyeong Station (Line 5).
Here's how to get to the cafe:
-Go out exit 2
-Walk until you come to an optical shop on a corner.
-Turn left and go one block and find the big blue building
-Go to the 2nd floor above the 7/11
