About us
-->Hi! This is a group for those not into the drinking scene, with mostly alcohol-free activities.
-->I've lived in South Korea since 2022-- and loved every minute. I've done so many cool things here, but the list of things yet to do is growing faster than I can do them! There are some terrific meetup groups here in Seoul (please check them out!) But somehow, many things I want to see or do, don't come up in other groups. Since I'm going to do those things anyway, I created a this group in case others have similar interests.
I speak English and a tiny bit of French and currently learning Korean. Koreans, internationals, residents, tourists, all welcome.
-->Seoul's cafe scene is vast and stunning...therefore many activities will likely be instagrammable cafes...but museums, aquariums, parks, historical sites, arboretums, gardens, concerts, plays, tours, etc are also on the list.
-->I'm also BTS ARMY, so there will be some Bangtan-related rendezvous 💜

Note: I am not a tour guide and I don't make money from this group. I know only a tiny bit about Seoul. I don't book/sell tickets/tours, so if there's an activity involving tickets, you'll need to book your own. I accept no liability for anyone's safety, health or behavior. All participation is voluntary. Simply trudge for a moment with me on the road of happy destiny. :)

Seoul Sewerage Science Museum
Location not specified yetMeet at Janghanpyeong Station exit 8, 10am.
Weird, but I've always been fascinated with sewers. My father owned a sewer cleaning company when I was young, and I toured the Paris sewer tunnels one year (yes, it's a real tourist thing--and a fascinating one at that). Sewers are one of the most amazing engineering feats of modern living and one of the most important public health structures of all time. Think of what life would be life without working sewer and water systems. Eww.
The Seoul Sewerage System is known for its efficiency (no surprise there) and innovative adaptations, making it a model for other cities and metropolis areas. Let's take a look at the behind the scenes! From the Seoul Government Website: "A complex space for sewerage exhibition and experience opened in September 2017, in the Jungnang Sewage Treatment Center, which is the site of Korea’s first sewage treatment plant. With an area of 2,365 ㎡, Korea’s first sewage exhibition and experience facility combined with green open spaces consists of sewage treatment facilities (underground), sewage exhibition hall (1st floor), experience and participation facilities (2nd floor), and water cycle theme park (around the sewage science museum), to provide visitors with a variety of attractions and educational programs. The Sewerage Science Museum is surrounded by four water-cycle theme park zones, multipurpose playgrounds, and more.
○ MEETING PLACE: We'll meet at Janghanpyeong Station exit 8 (Subway Line 5) and either walk together (about 10 min) or take the shuttle bus at exit 8 (9:00~17:30, every 30 minutes)

Ewha Women's Alumni Choir Concert
Starbucks Yonsei University, 35 Yonsei-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Seoul, KRMy friend is singing in the Ewha University Women's Alumni Choir tonight, known as Ewha Choir OnGoing. The program sounds dynamic and fun. Normally I'd have to work, but the concert falls on a national holiday (Election Day). I thought it would be fun to bring along a few people to cheer and support her and the group. I'm guessing the concert will last an hour to an hour and a half. The ticket office opens at 4pm, and my friend suggested to get their early to insure we get tickets and a seat. We can go for dinner and/or coffee afterwards if people are interested.
From the website: "We started as the choir of Ewha Woman's University's College of Liberal Arts in 1976, and even after graduation, we have been drawing the stage together with a heart that never stops singing.
The alumni members, who had been called "Old Girl", prepared their first
solo concert under the name of "Ewha Choir OnGoing".
From the class of '85 to the class of '18, the harmony that passes through generations continues. We sincerely invite you to
the place where you dream together."https://ewha-chorus-og.vercel.app/invitation
이화합창단 OG (EWHA CHORUS OG) (@ewhachorus_ongoing) • Instagram photos and videosThe concert location is Yonsei University Centennial Memorial Hall (on Severance Hospital grounds). The closest subway stop is Sinchon, which is about a 10 minute walk. Our meeting place will be the Starbucks at Yonsei General Hall. It's easily visible from the main road. It's next to the Funeral Hall, whose sign is also highly visible. Let's meet at 5:30pm and walk to the concert hall together at 5:40 to be seated.
