🔶 What is Lindyhop?
Lindyhop is a type of swing dance born in 1928 in New York, Harlem. This improvisational, free and social dance is distinguished by a high mood and a gushing retro spirit. You will recognize the Swing dancer from a smile! Lindyhop dance can be both active and calm, depending on the stylistic choices of the dancer. Currently, lindyhop is booming again and is being danced all over the world. In the 1980s, Lindyhop was revived by enthusiasts from the US, the UK and Sweden who learned dance steps from surviving videos. They also found and invited the best dancers of swing dance era, including Frankie Manning, who quit his job at the post office at the time and started dancing again, traveling around the world and sharing his experience and knowledge with all the enthusiasts. The Lindyhop came to Korea in 1999 in Seoul, and currently has very active communities in Seoul. Learn to dance with us, and you will be able to move very quickly in the swing rhythm with any Lindyhoper you meet both in Seoul and anywhere in the world!

❔ Do you need a dance partner for your lessons?
✅ During the lessons we learn to dance with different partners, so it is not necessary to bring your own partner.

❔ At what age and what physical ability do I need to be to attend lindyhop lessons?
✅Everyone can dance Lindyhop! Regardless of age, body composition and so on. When dancing a lindyhop, the same movements can be performed both energetically and calmly. Everyone chooses their own style of dance and whether they want to relax while dancing, or actively move.

❔ Is it necessary to exchange partners during lessons? Can I come with my other half and always dance together?
✅During the lessons, we nurture the ability to dance with different partners, because it improves faster and it is easy to dance at social parties. So we recommend exchanging partners for everyone, but the final decision is still up to you!

❔ How should you dress when coming to class?
✅You need to bring shoes to change before going to the dance hall. Everything else doesn’t matter, just make sure the clothes are comfortable to move around and you feel good about.

❔ Is it necessary to go to social parties?
✅Lindyhop is a dance of freedom, and there is nothing necessary in it. However, we strongly encourage participation in social, it helps you practice what you learned during lessons. And also helps you dance with different styles Lindyhopper. There are a large number of dancers in the world, and everyone has different dance styles! and It’s best way to enjoy Lindyhop!
