🔶 [Who are we?] 🔶
Hello, and welcome! We are SwingPop, a swing dance club.
We are a swing dance community founded by both international residents in Korea and Koreans, and we have been active for around 10 years. Over the years, many Korean and international dancers have consistently joined our gatherings, and we are proud to welcome people from all around the world.
Are you new to living in Korea?
Or are you visiting and looking to meet people and connect with others?
We invite you to join our community.
Learn swing dance with us, enjoy the music, dance together, and make new friends. After the party, you can also join us for a classic Korean “after-party” experience, heading to one of the best chicken spots in Gangnam to enjoy Korean food and conversation.
Seoul is home to one of the world’s largest swing dance communities. Explore dance halls across the city, improve your dancing, and discover hidden cultural gems beyond the well-known parts of Seoul.
Whether you are settling into life in Korea or simply traveling for a short time, everyone is welcome. We look forward to meeting you in our community.

Indoor shoes are required inside the dance hall. Rental shoes are available on site, but sizes may be limited. We recommend bringing your own pair for comfort.
Class Fee (Cash Only)
Please note that we accept cash only. We do not have a card machine because we are not a business, we are a community run by volunteers who love this dance and culture. All contributions go directly toward sustaining the community.

Level 3 : 4:00 ~ 5:30pm(80,000₩ for 1 month)
Level 2 : 5:30 ~ 7:00pm(70,000₩ for 1 month)
Level 1 (Beginner) Class : 7:00 ~ 8:00pm (60,000 ₩ 4 weeks)
Socal dance : 8:00pm ~ 10:00pm (8,000 ₩ for entrance fee)

Level 1 One-day class : 28,000₩

❔ Do you need a dance partner for your lessons?
✅ 90% of students come alone. During the lessons we learn to dance with different partners, so it is not necessary to bring your own partner.
❔ If I miss class or start date has already passed. can I join? can i catch up?
✅ Even if you miss class, you can still catch up.
There is time to come and practice before the beginner class, and there is also practice time during social time after the beginner class.
Teacher will be alwayas at the dance hall. You can practice with your teacher and classmates about the parts you missed.
❔ I am an introvert by nature. Will I be able to fit in at a dance club?
✅ Swing dancing can suit both introverts and extroverts.
Swing dancing is a playful and wholesome dance.
Newcomers are always welcome, and if you dance and play to exciting swing jazz music, you will soon become friends.
❔ I have never danced before. Will it be okay?
✅ Level 1 class is for those who are new to dancing. Since most students are new to dance, you can grow together with your classmates.
❔ At what age and what physical ability do I need to be to attend lindyhop lessons?
✅Everyone can dance Lindyhop! Regardless of age, body composition and so on.
❔ Are there many people who does swing dance?
✅ Seoul is called the capital of swing dancing.
There are classes/social dances/parties all week long. Some communities are large enough for 200 to 300 people to participate in a single social dance.
There is a swing dance community in almost every country around the world, and once you learn swing dance, you can enjoy dancing anywhere in the world.
❔ Can I do a swing dance performance later?
✅ Yes, we offer performance classes 3-4 times a year, including performance classes for beginners.
❔ I don’t have dancing shoes, is that okay?
✅ You don’t have to buy dancing shoes. But we should switch to clean shoes when entering the dance hall. please bring extra comfortable shoes, such as sneakers.
