💜 Intro to Bouldering: [FIRST-TIMER] Lesson 🧗🏻✨ Beginner friendly ✨

Details

New to climbing? Join us for a free introductory lesson where you'll learn the basics of safe bouldering and get to know the awesome community you'll be climbing with!

⏰ Please arrive early!
We recommend getting to the gym by 1:00 PM so you're ready to start climbing by 1:20 PM sharp.
The check-in and prep process takes about 20 minutes, and we start right on time!

🤔 What Is Indoor Bouldering?
Indoor bouldering is a fun, accessible type of climbing that takes place on shorter walls (4.5–6 meters / 15–20 feet) with padded flooring—so no ropes or harnesses needed!
It’s a great full-body workout that also challenges your problem-solving skills as you figure out how to “solve” different climbing routes. Perfect for both body and mind!

🎒 What to Bring & How to Prepare

  1. Wear comfy, flexible clothes that let you move freely.
  2. Bring or wear socks for the rental climbing shoes.
  3. Eat a light meal 30–60 minutes beforehand.
  4. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Optional but helpful:

  • A small snack (nothing too messy or smelly!)
  • Change of clothes and a towel (some gyms have showers—check in advance)
  • Refillable bottle (water fountains available)

📝 Getting Started at the Gym

  1. When you arrive, fill out a waiver form (English forms are available).
  2. Head to the front desk for your day pass and rental shoes.
  3. Watch the required safety video for first-timers.
  4. Use the changing rooms and lockers if you need to get ready or store your stuff.
  5. Pick up your rental shoes (usually inside the gym area). Socks are required, and the fit should be snug but comfortable.
  6. Bring your good vibes—you're about to have a great time!

📚 What You'll Learn in the Lesson

  1. How to fall safely
  2. Basic climbing rules
  3. Your first climbing problems (routes!)
  4. Gym etiquette (especially helpful for Korean climbing gyms)
  5. More climbing with tips along the way
  6. Meet and connect with other climbers!
