š„This is a 4 months commitment sign up ! š„
You have to attend every Wednesday and Thursday from 1 pm to 2 pm, every week, from July 9th to October !!!
Samulnori is a modern adaptation of the traditional ritual music of Korean farmers, called nongak or pungmul nori, for the stage.
Traditionally, such music involved elaborate costumed dances and was performed outdoors; in samulnori, emphasis is placed on the music and musicians, who are seated while performing.
Changsin Sound Bridge. A bridge connecting tradition and the world. Making friend across cultures through sound.
š Goal :
ā¢Practice twice weekly for 1 hour to learn Samulnori (tranditional percussion) basics.
ā¢Create a team with both Koreans and foreigners to develop a polished performance.
ā¢Debut at the Jongno Cultural Festival in October 2025 as the
"Global Samulnori Troupe"
š Timeline: July 9th - October (4 months)
Twice a week Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 pm to 2 pm
š„Detailed Plan:
1) Monthly Themes
Theme : Main focus
Orientation: Instrument introduction, team building, rhythm games.
Basic Rhythms: Learning Hwimori, Gutgeori patterns.
Individual Focus: Splitting into janggu, buk, jing, kkwaenggwari parts.
Ensemble Practice: Trying full-part harmonization.
Local Research : Changsin-dong stories, finding stage ideas through ally photos.
Piece Composition: Structuring intro-development-climax
Full rehearsal: 3-5 min. complete piece practice.
Open rehearsal: Mini performances at Hanok bookshop, market, cafes
2) Weekly Session Plan (ex.60 min.)
5 min. - Team greeting / warm-up
10 min. - Rhythm games / counting practice
30 min. - Today's main rhythm practice
10 min. - Part-focused practice
5 min. - Wrap-up / video log
3) Team Member Roles

⢠Korean Samulnori teacher: Instructor
⢠SeoulShare members: Players, social media content creators
⢠Local friends: Translation help, costume support
4) Special Events

⢠Alley Parade (Late October): Tour performance in local market alleys
