Looking for a unique, hands-on experience in Seoul where creativity meets culture?

Joseon Ceramic Pot Keyring
Join us for a cozy and inspiring Mother of Pearl (나전칠기)
keyring-making class, perfect for slowing down, meeting new people, and creating something truly special with your own hands.

No stress, no pressure; this class is beginner-friendly, with no prior craft experience required, and open to all ages.
(Children under the age of 14 to be accompanied by an adult)
Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast or just curious to try something new, you’ll fit right in!

What is Mother of Pearl (나전칠기)?
Mother of pearl, known as najeonchilgi in Korea, is a traditional craft that dates back centuries, flourishing during the Joseon Dynasty. Artisans carefully inlaid shimmering shell pieces into lacquerware, creating intricate designs that symbolized elegance, patience, and craftsmanship.

Interestingly, this delicate material connects far beyond Korea. Bahrain, the host's home, has a rich history of pearl diving, pearls were the heart of its economy and culture. Just like najeonchilgi in Korea, pearls in Bahrain tell stories of heritage, artistry, and human dedication.

And somehow, that journey led us here, to sharing crafts with you.

✨ As SeoulShare’s proud partner, KOTE is a cultural hub for creators, offering an open and inspiring space designed to refresh the mind and foster creativity.
