Welcome to our May meetup!

This time, it's all about **KotlinConf and functional programming.**

After a look back at this year's KotlinConf, we'll be diving into functional programming with our speaker, **Mikhail**.

Mikhail will show us **practical, accessible techniques** provided by the Kotlin language itself, such as lambdas, data classes, and context receivers.

The session will focus on practical code organisation, illustrating how to separate data, calculations, and actions in a way that enhances readability and maintainability. **Practical applications in areas like Ktor and Android** will demonstrate how functional programming can be seamlessly integrated into real-world projects.

Here's a little something about our speaker:

**Mikkhail Levchenko** \- I have been in Android development for 7 years\, most of which were spent in Yandex Classifieds\. Over the last 2 years I've focused on the mobile Devops side\, developing a lot of backend stuff for our infrastructure\.
In my free time, I eagerly share my knowledge on functional programming. I also enjoy playing tabletop rpgs, roguelike videogames and drawing.
