Madminton — Giving the Basics Fundraiser

MADMINTON (http://madminton.com/) is KC’s first annual badminton tournament and benefits Giving the Basics. Participants are encouraged to dress in crazy costumes so this will be a fun event for us to watch. Serve KC volunteers will help with registration, keep time during the the game and answer questions.

Please arrive between 12:30-12:45 and go to the volunteer tent on the West side of the park to get your t-shirt and instructions. Registration opens at 1:00pm and we'll need to be ready to the flood of madness.

Play begins at 2:00pm and volunteers will work in pairs to monitor the courts. If you'd like to brush up on your Badminton knowledge here's a website with the Simplified Rules (http://www.bwfbadminton.org/page.aspx?id=14914)!

If you have some extra time we can also use help with setup starting at 11:00am.

GtB provides products for dignity — deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, baby wipes, trash bags, laundry detergent, etc. — that are not covered by government assistance; to people in need. Many of the local food pantries, shelters and schools benefit from the donations made to this nonprofit.
