We will be serving Christmas Day Lunch, restaurant style, to KC's homeless and impoverished for Episcopal Community Services now Nourish KC in their Community Kitchen. The guests have nicknamed it "The 750 Club"-- as in the cool place to go! Volunteers are encouraged to take a break and eat with the guests.

All volunteers for this event need to be at least 14 years old (can be a little younger with proper adult supervision - please talk with us to learn more). All volunteers need to come wearing closed toed shoes, long pants and wear hats (or we will provide hair nets), modest shirts (no low cut, tight shirts or tank tops). Lunch is served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. each weekday. Please arrive at 10:30am for orientation. You will be asked to sign a general waiver form upon arrival. **Bussers (need 2 volunteers) Bus tables

**Plating team (need 2 volunteers)
Volunteers on the plating team will be in the kitchen making plates to order for the wait staff volunteers to serve to our guests. This will be a fast paced task as each plate is made to order, giving our guests the chance to request specific items.

**Dining Room Wait Staff (need 6 volunteers)

Wait staff volunteers will be waiting on our guests once they are seated at their tables. It begins with taking and filling drink orders and then listing the menu for the day and giving guests the option to choose which items they'd like. Each volunteer will be waiting on 2-4 guests at a time.

**Beverage station (need 2 volunteers)

Beverage station volunteers will assist wait staff with meeting beverage orders. This may mean filling glasses and helping deliver them to tables, or making sure that drink coolers get refilled when necessary.

**Dining Room Hosts (need 2 volunteers)

Hosts will greet our guests as they come into the dining room and seat them in small groups at tables. Hosts may also assist wait staff with bringing beverages or resetting place settings if/when things get busy.

All volunteers must be at least 14 years old and wear long pants & closed toed shoes. Please wear a hat or we will provide hairnets.

Volunteers at the kitchen should park in the lot on the west side of the building. The entrance to the lot is off of 8th street (which is one way, heading east). Please place your valuables out of sight PRIOR to arriving at the parking lot. There is a locker available inside if you prefer.
