Trunk or Treat at Ronald McDonald House

The 18th Annual Trunk or Treat Street Festival is for RMHC-KC patients, their families, and the Kansas City community. The festival will be located in the Longfellow House parking lot and on Cherry St. in front of our three houses.

This is a Kid friendly event. After you RSVP to attend, please post a comment if you will bring candy, treats, apples or toys, and what specifically you will bring so we have a variety.

Everyone, please bring outdoor Halloween decorations that we can use on or beside our car. At the end of the event, you will take these home, or dispose of them, decorations WILL NOT be left.

There is no need to bring any candy dishes, we have plenty!

11:00 am - 12:00 pm = Set-up
1:00 - 3:00 pm = Trunk or Treat event
3:00 - 3:30 pm = Clean-up

CANDY:
(4 volunteers) Each person, bring 4 bags of individually wrapped candy (candy bars, suckers, licorice, etc.) Please ensure some of these do not contain peanut butter or nuts.

(5 Volunteers) Each person, bring 30+ non-edible treats such as bubbles, temporary tattoos, stickers, pencils, erasers, spider rings, or other toys. **Please DO NOT bring small, rubber balls or marbles, these are a choking hazard for small children.**

COSTUMES are encouraged though not required. Please ensure they are appropriate for a family/child event. YES!! A sports shirt or jersey IS a costume!!

PARKING & MEETUP: Cherry Street will be blocked off in front of the house so volunteers need to park in the Family Court lot on the corner of 26th & Cherry. There is also construction on 25th & Gillham Street, so that area is closed. There will be signs directing to the parking and where to walk to the event from the Family Court parking lot. Once you arrive at Longfellow House (large green building) look for a red Rav4 and a cardboard monster toss game.

**Dress appropriately for the weather, layers are recommended. I also recommend bringing a lawn chair and bottle of water. Lunch will NOT be provided, you are welcome to bring a lunch or snack.
