Explore the use of serverless technologies to build a custom newsletter platform. We will discuss the benefits of using serverless architecture, including cost savings, scalability, and ease of deployment. We will also cover the various services and tools available for building a serverless newsletter platform, such as AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge along with the 3rd party service SendGrid. When Twitter's newsletter platform, Revue, shut down, Allen leveraged a serverless architecture which allowed him to quickly replace his newsletter solution without subscriber interruption.

Allen has been working in tech since 2012, after graduating with a B.S. in Software Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas.
