As a backend dev, I'll take you through solo-building the London Improv Calendar (improv-calendar.co.uk) - from architecting a cost-efficient serverless backend to crafting a responsive frontend with AI's help. I'll cover the fun bits, the frustrating AI moments, and how this project might inspire your own.

Talk title: How we saved $70k/year with our open-source serverless private CA
Description: At Q-Solution, a specialist company providing managed services to UK government, we wished to secure a community of government organizations via the public Internet using certificate authentication. We developed and built our own solution due to the high cost of AWS Private CA: a serverless CA in AWS with high levels of security, costing under $5 per month per environment. The CA is available as an open-source project, suitable for a wide range of use cases. After a technical overview, you’ll see a hands-on live demonstration of the serverless CA being used to secure an application.
