Resizing thousands of images daily, one Step at a time - Ivica Kolenkas

This talk will highlight learnings and discoveries about Step Functions that were made while transforming a real-world serverless application from 3 Lambda functions to 20+ functions spread across two Step Functions. What we gained, what we lost and how we improved the user experience while supplying some of the biggest e-commerce fashion brands with thousands of resized, scaled and ready-to-use images each day.

Integration patterns using NServiceBus & Azure Functions - Dibran Mulder

In a microservices architecture one needs to think deeply about how services communicate with one another. There are different approaches all with their own pros and cons. In this session I will talk about some useful integration patterns using Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions and a library called NServiceBus. NServiceBus has ways to deal with complex service bus patterns such as request/reply, callbacks, saga's and others. These patterns become particularly useful when you combine them with the power of Azure Functions.
