Join us for an interactive session hosted by Angel Takooree, designed to help us make sense of AI in a practical, human-centred way.

Angel will introduce us to the AI Design Sprint® framework, a straightforward structured approach that helps teams:

> Map their service or product challenges
> Identify where AI could help (or shouldn’t)
> Explore benefits, risks and ethical considerations
> Move from concept to early prototypes in days, not months

This session will explore how AI can be used to improve services, customer journeys and organisational outcomes, while addressing risks, ethics and data concerns along the way.

It’s especially useful for people who are AI-curious (but not technical), that are being asked to “consider AI” but are unsure where to start.

Angel has over 25 years of consultancy work across diverse sectors, including Food, Manufacturing, Retail, IT, Health, Education, and Gaming.

As a certified facilitator of AI Design Sprints™, she’s specialised in guiding organisations through a rapid, structured process. Bringing together technical and non technical teams to adopt AI strategy within their organisations. By uncovering key business challenges and strategically exploring how AI can transform their processes, products, and services.

Her work is UCD ensures every solution is inclusive, innovative, and co designed with real people in mind, blending a mix of different techniques and methodologies.

How many times have you watched a great idea slowly disappear under layers and layers of “just enough governance”?

Many of us design genuinely good ideas, better services, clearer ways of working and systems shaped around real human needs.

And yet we’ve all seen the same pattern: an idea lands well, starts to work, and then slowly accumulates layers of governance, approval, and control until it’s barely recognisable.

This session isn’t about blaming organisations or defending specific methods.

Instead, we’ll explore a recurring pattern seen across Service Design, Agile, and large-scale change: why ideas that reduce friction, build trust, or distribute decision-making often become uncomfortable once they begin to matter.

Sergio Seelochan is a delivery and systems practitioner with 25+ years’ experience across banking, insurance, fintech, and large digital organisations.

His work sits at the intersection of Service Design, Agile, and organisational power exploring how trust, control, and incentives shape the systems we build.

He is a co-organiser of Agile Nottingham. Only recently discovered that he is a lifelong Marxist. He is also assisted in his work by three cats, who contribute regularly and without seeking formal governance.
