    Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK)

Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, 72 Escher Street, Trenton, NJ, US

We'll be volunteering at the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), preparing the Saturday lunch service.

Our shift starts at 9:30am and runs until 1pm at our Escher Street location on the following date/s: Saturday, Feb. 14th. Please ensure your schedule allows you to be with us for the entire duration of the shift.
All in-person volunteers need to be over the age of 13. Meal services cannot run without volunteers, so please be able and ready to maintain your commitment for our event. If your plans change, please change your RSVP as soon as possible.
Dress Code (due to health code regulations): All volunteers must have closed-toed shoes, pants, and sleeves that come to the elbow. (tank tops are not allowed) If tank tops or sandals are worn, volunteers will be required to put on a t-shirt and socks or asked to go home.
Parking: Parking is free, street parking along Escher Street. Carpooling is recommended but not required. Although safe, please do not leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicles. Please do not park in the small parking lot behind our building. You will get blocked in as that is mostly reserved for deliveries.

From their website: "The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen feeds the hungry and offers programs and services to encourage self-sufficiency and improve quality of life for people in the Greater Trenton Area. We began serving meals 43 years ago in a church basement and have since expanded to deliver over 12,000 meals each week, six days per week, at our main Escher Street building and more than 50 community meal sites across the area. Since 1982, we have never turned away anyone who has asked us for a meal. Today, we also provide case management services, adult education programs, job search assistance and creative arts classes, empowering those we serve to thrive, not just survive."
