Sort Food at Second Harvest (Cypress Center)

The primary responsibility of a Food Sort Volunteer is to prepare food for distribution by verifying, sorting, labeling, and repacking food items. Training is provided at the beginning of each shift.

The Brennan location is a large warehouse and requires a long walk to enter the volunteer stations. If you are mobility challenged, consider whether you are comfortable with this volunteer opportunity.

COVID-19 update: Volunteers sorting food in our warehouse are not required but strongly recommended to be fully vaccinated. All food sort volunteers must continue to wear masks. For more information, please see our Volunteer FAQs.
