Tuesday Morning Bird Walk!
TUE NOV 14 8AM
Port Orange Causeway Park
(under the Dunlawton Bridge), 93 Dunlawton Avenue

***

Tuesday Morning Bird Walks are open to ALL. Come learn and discover our local birds; beginners are encouraged. Let's find the oystercatchers and more! It'll be low tide, so shorebirds should be present. Caspian and Sandwich Terns year-round, possible Peregrine Falcons, Great Black-backed Gulls and a Common Loon?

The Critical Wildlife Area is a nesting site for up to 400 pairs of Brown Pelicans, White Ibises and a few pairs of American Oystercatchers. Occasionally, Reddish Egrets, night-herons, Magnificent Frigatebirds and Roseate Spoonbills have been spotted. The fishing pier is a good vantage point over the water.

Oct - April, Experienced SEVAS members lead these walks for both beginning and avid birders. The walks are free and open to the public. Each site offers different birds and a chance to visit a variety of natural areas. Meet at 8am and plan to spend about two hours.

Bring optics, water, bug spray, snacks, etc, and dress for the weather.
