The Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center in Central Park features roughly 2+ miles of trails, including wooded and paved paths, offering excellent birding opportunities during migration. Located at 601 Division Ave, the area connects to 75 acres of waterways, attracting diverse species, particularly waders. It is listed on eBird as a top hotspot (Ormond Beach--Central Park).

The EDC provides visitors with a glimpse into the diverse ecosystems of Ormond Beach. The facility features education programs, and up close encounters with nature. A unique feature to the center is the honeybee colony located inside. A vent system enables the bees to fly in and out of the building. Once they enter, the bees remain enclosed in a hive that is enclosed in glass.

Third Thursday of each month. SEVAS B&B walks provide a happy end-of-day birding jaunt and a social at a local pub or restaurant. We bird different sites, and enjoy time to relax, laugh, and connect. Adult beverages optional.

Bring binoculars, a hat, water, bug spray, etc, and dress for the weather.
