SUSTANCIA — CENA & DJ !!
Este diciembre celebramos una noche muy especial: SUSTANCIA!! , un evento solidario que rinde homenaje a la figura del sustanciero y al plato más reconfortante de la cocina Andaluz: el puchero.

Diseñado por Hedonī @hedonilifestyle @elhedoniclub, este encuentro une historia, gastronomía y comunidad en el corazón del invierno y de la temporada festiva.

La cena estará cocinada por Guillermo Carrillo Ayala @arquemí_estudio.galeria , arquitecto con un talento sorprendente para los fogones, que nos preparará un puchero casero lleno de cariño… acompañado de mosto del Aljarafe y de una selección musical flamenca muy especial del queridísimo DJ Skinnybone Love @skinnybone_love.

Un experiencia con propósito:
El precio de la entrada es 60 €, de los cuales 10 € se destinan a una causa solidaria, para llevar un puchero caliente a quienes más lo necesitan en estas fechas.

1 — ¿Quién era el sustanciero?
En la posguerra española aparecía una figura única:
el sustanciero, un vendedor ambulante que recorría las calles gritando:
“¡Sustancia! ¿Quién quiere sustancia para el puchero?”

2 — ¿Qué ofrecía?
Llevaba un hueso de jamón o de vaca atado a una cuerda…
y lo prestaba por minutos para que las familias pudieran dar sabor a sus caldos.

3 — Un servicio humilde… pero vital
La gente pagaba una peseta por cuarto de hora
(o incluso una perra gorda).
Era una forma barata de conseguir “sustancia” cuando la carne era inaccesible.

4 — ¿Por qué existió esta figura?
Tras la Guerra Civil, España vivió hambre, racionamiento y pobreza.
Muchas casas no podían permitirse ni un hueso.
El sustanciero fue una respuesta creativa para sobrevivir.

5 — Más que un oficio
Simboliza la resiliencia, ingenio y dignidad
de quienes hicieron milagros con casi nada.

6 — Nuestro homenaje
El viernes 19 celebramos SUSTANCIA,
una experiencia inspirada en esta historia olvidada.
Cocinamos puchero tradicional + servimos mosto del Aljarafe 🍷

7— Un gesto solidario
Parte de cada entrada se destina a donar ingredientes
para preparar un puchero que se servirá en un centro local.

This December, we invite you to a truly special evening: SUSTANCIA, a solidarity event celebrating the historic figure of the sustanciero and the comforting traditional dish that defined an era — puchero.
Created by Hedonī, this dinner brings together history, community, and the warmth of the festive season.

The meal will be prepared by Guillermo Carrillo Ayala @arquemí_estudio.galeria, an architect with a remarkable talent in the kitchen, who will cook a heartfelt, home-style puchero. The night will be paired with mosto from the Aljarafe and a flamenco-inspired music selection by the one and only Cristobal Higaldo aka DJ Skinnybone Love @skinnybone_love

🎄 A night with purpose:
Tickets are €60, with €10 donated to a local charity, supporting the preparation of a warm puchero for those in need during the holiday season.

1 — Who was the sustanciero?
In post–Civil War Spain, there appeared a unique figure:
the sustanciero, a street vendor who walked through the neighborhoods shouting:
“Sustancia! Who wants some sustancia for their stew?”

1 — What did he offer?
He carried a ham bone or beef bone tied to a rope…
and he lent it by the minute so families could give flavor to their broths.

2 — A humble… but vital service
People paid one peseta for fifteen minutes
(or even a perra gorda).
It was a cheap way to get “substance” when meat was out of reach.

3 — Why did this figure exist?
After the Civil War, Spain suffered hunger, rationing, and poverty.
Many households couldn’t afford even a bone.
The sustanciero was a creative survival response.

4 — More than a trade
He symbolizes the resilience, ingenuity, and dignity
of those who managed to create miracles with almost nothing.

5 — Our tribute
On Friday the 19th we celebrate SUSTANCIA,
an experience inspired by this forgotten story.
We’ll cook traditional puchero + serve mosto from Aljarafe 🍷

6 — A gesture of solidarity
Part of every ticket will go toward donating ingredients
to prepare a puchero that will be served at a local center.
