Bonjour stitch slingers! Summer's here and the time is right for strapping essentials to self and getting out in the world. Let's gather at Poindexter Coffee and stitch up some sweet 'packs for outings.
MAJOR POINT: You will need to bring a sewing machine, a bobbin and thread for this workshop.
FANNY PACK WORKSHOP: First you'll customize your design, choose colors, gather hardware and assemble the strap. Let's chat about design and patternmaking as we get the making underway. The workshop will kick off at 12:30pm.
NOTE: any attendee can participate in the discussions, ask questions etc. regardless of whether you're making a fanny pack or not. Sit in, listen and watch if you'd like.
MATERIALS: I'll provide, but you're welcome to bring your own if you'd like
- *1.5" webbing (2 yards)
- *1.5" buckle
- *1.5" slider
- 10"- 12" zipper
- Duck Canvas (1/2 yard)
* you can can larger or smaller hardware, just make sure buckle and slider width are the same as webbing width
LOCATION: We'll be stationed in the beautiful study area of The Graduate Hotel which is also the backmost room of Poindexter Coffee in the U-District. They have food and caffeine, so feel free to come early and get yourself energized.
