sex+ talks

This meetup is for the events arm of our magazine on sex and sexuality (sexpluszine.com). We arrange talks, share stories, connect and explore new possibilities in Central London and surrounding areas and now online. We value community and safe spaces, which means that we explicitly define our events as anti-sexist, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ friendly, kink friendly, sex positive and body positive. 
   

Community Guidelines

Adults only - Only people over the age of 18 may join this meetup or attend the meetup events.   

Confidentiality - This meetup is private.  Members must be sensitive to the confidentiality of information shared on this Meetup Group and at Meetup Events held by this group.  

Informed Consent - Members must always receive informed consent to share information about or shared by other members and for any other interaction with any other member of the group.  

Group Agreements - All meetups arranged by this group will be governed by a set of Group Agreements. Anyone attending a talk organised by this meetup group will need to agree to the set of Group Agreements specific to the event.  The Group Agreements may be tailored for each event and will be included in the description for the event on Meetup.  Generally these will include:- Confidentiality, Informed Consent, Safety, I-statements, Compassionate listening, No assumptions, Taking care of yourself, Reminding each other of these agreements gently.

Inclusive - This meetup and the events organised by it are inclusive and non-discriminatory. This means that behaviour contrary to this will not be tolerated either on the Meetup or at group events.

Safety - Safety is our paramount concern and any member will be removed from any event and/or banned from the group if they are considered to contravene the safety of other members at any time.  The organisers have the final decision on this matter. 

Removal - Anyone arriving at any event in an unfit state to participate (including due to drugs or alcohol) will be asked to leave immediately and may be banned from this Meetup and events.  Likewise for anyone becoming unfit during the event.  Anyone failing to adhere to the Group Agreements specific to the talk/event or the values/rules of the group as specified here or in the Meetup event will also be asked to leave immediately and will be banned from this Meetup group and any future events organised through this Meetup group. 

Intersectional - we recognise that shame, discrimination and oppression come from many places and invite intersectionality into our conversations, viewpoints and events.
