Hello all,

Thank you for your interest in the bay area beach cleanup events!
Plastic pollution is having a devastating impact on wildlife, both on land and in the ocean. Studies have shown that many marine species, including seabirds and fish, often ingest plastic, mistaking it for food. In Northern California, seabirds such as the Northern Fulmar and Red Phalarope have been found with plastic in their stomachs, which can lead to malnutrition and even death. On land, animals can become entangled in plastic debris, leading to injury or death.

By joining this cleanup, you'll be directly contributing to reducing the amount of harmful plastic that threatens marine life.

You'll be provided with a trash bag and a trash picker. Feel free to bring a friend or coworker—the more people we have, the greater our collective impact!

As the cleanup day approaches, I'll share the exact meeting location.

This initial invite helps us estimate attendance and plan accordingly.

Please RSVP ONLY if you are serious about showing up on the day of cleanup.

Thank you.
