About 5 miles and 1,100 feet of climbing (and descending). Three hours is an approximate time.

Enjoy the seasonal waterfalls on Mt. Diablo, and get home in time to watch a bunch of big guys throw a ball around on TV :-)

This hike has five waterfalls on it, but they only run after a good winter rain season. They should be active for our hike, but you don't know how much water is there until you get there.

The hike is likely to be VERY muddy, and some of the creek crossings may get your shoes a bit wet (again, we won't know until we get there).

Not a lot of rocks on this hike, but we'll explore the rocks under the streams, and along the trails.

Kids are welcome, but make sure they are up for it.

I'll pass the hat for donations to the American Modeling Teachers Association, an organization that supports authentic science teaching.

Please don't bock or infringe on driveways when you park. There is no official parking lot where we meet, and it may be busy this time of year.

Here are some links with info and/or photos about the route (some say 7 miles, but we're starting at a different location).
