SF Bay Area Interactive Fiction Group Meetup
Details
Yes, that's right, we're meeting on the 4th of July. What, were you planning on going to a party or something?! Me, neither! I'm staying indoors and celebrating my freedom to go online and hang out with you.
There are a bunch of really cool games for us to try this month, because last month was NarraScope, and there was a game jam with 40 games. (The theme of the game jam was "growth".)
Here are a few games that stood out from this month:
- Sohoek Ekalmoe, by Caleb Wilson: An Inform game where you're a plant, with delightful musical background
- Moving (On), by quackoquack: An Inform game where you find objects and "reminisce" on them, unlocking scenes in your memory
- Laika, by Ian Michael Waddell: A hilarious Twine game where you're the first dog that the Russians sent into space, with a little help from telepathic aliens
- Tallest Trees, by Peter Bates: A tense Twine game where you're fleeing from and facing off against a mysterious supernatural being
See you there!
