SF Bay Area Interactive Fiction Group Meetup

Everything is happening all at once. IFComp has begun; 104 new works of interactive fiction are available for us to play! If history is any guide, one of them is quite likely the best game of the year!

On top of that, the XYZZY Award winners were announced this week. We can play a number of the finest games of last year, including the Best Games, "Crème de la Crème" and "Zozzled."

I rarely have the opportunity to use the word "smörgåsbord," but it's always a pleasure to do so. Why don't you say it with me? SMÖRGÅSBORD!

(Next month's going to be just as packed! The EctoComp Halloween games will be released in time for Halloween, so we'll have those plus any number of IFComp games we didn't get to this month…)
