Double the Twisties: 128 to Mendocino & Back

I moved to Sonoma last summer and recently rediscovered Highway 128 to the coast — it's officially one of my favorite roads in California. Sweeping curves through redwoods, vineyards, and rugged coastline... and lunch in Mendocino at the end. The weather looks promising. Let's ride! 🌊

📍 The Route (~161 miles total)

• Hwy 101 NB → Cloverdale (~24 miles)
• Hwy 128 WB → The Coast (~55 miles, leg stretch near Boonville)
• CA-1 North → Mendocino (~10 miles)
• Lunch at Good Life Cafe, Mendocino
• Retrace back to Cloverdale — gas & goodbyes

⚠ Rider Guidelines (Please read before signing up):

• Please arrive with a FULL TANK OF GAS
• This road is technical and not suitable for new riders
• The pace will be spirited -- you should be comfortable going 10-15 mph above the recommended speed limit
• You should be comfortable lane splitting and passing cars in a single lane
• Safety talk at 10:25 am and you must be present to join the ride
• I am limiting the ride to 15 people for safety and lunch logistics
• If you're bringing a friend or a pillion, please include them in your rsvp
