B.U.R.N. REI w/ J Martin: No Meetup – Mastermind in China
Details
⚠️ NO JULY MEETUP — J MARTIN WILL BE IN CHINA FOR THE BUILDING SUPPLIES SOURCING MASTERMIND
There will be no local B.U.R.N. REI meetup in Los Altos this July, as J Martin will be in Guangzhou & Foshan, China from July 7–12 hosting and attending the Building Supplies Sourcing Mastermind centered around the CBD Fair (China Building & Decoration Fair) — the largest building supplies expo in the world.
The purpose of the trip is to help real estate investors, builders, and developers better understand international procurement, build direct manufacturer relationships, improve quality control processes, and potentially save tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars on construction and rehab costs through direct sourcing.
The mastermind includes:
• 2 full days at the Guangzhou CBD Expo with 2,000+ exhibitors and millions of square feet of building materials, finishes, windows, doors, cabinets, lighting, and smart home technology
• Factory and showroom tours in nearby Foshan to inspect manufacturing processes, product quality, packaging, and shipping operations firsthand
• Meetings with sourcing agents, inspectors, auditors, and manufacturers to better understand quality control and risk reduction when importing materials internationally
• Networking and mastermind discussions with investors and developers sourcing internationally
• Hotel accommodations, interpreters, transportation, meals, cultural experiences, and logistics coordination included throughout the trip
The goal is not simply to “buy products,” but to help attendees gain real-world exposure to sourcing systems, factory operations, direct vendor relationships, and long-term cost-saving opportunities that many larger developers have used for decades.
