SHORT: The Portuguese Calçada Knows You by Mariana Arroja
The Portuguese Calçada are pavements that are considered a national heritage. However, there are increasingly fewer calçada stonemason masters in the country. In 2022, Mariana Arroja, singer & songwriter, wrote a song inspired by the Portuguese Calçada and decided to explore this topic further, meeting several calçada stonemasons, their families and hearing their stories.
