The Android TV team is thrilled to invite you to the first Android TV Game Bootcamp & Code Lab that will be

held on July 10th, 2015 on Google campus in Mountain View, CA USA!

This event offers a unique opportunity for game developers:

Why learn about Android TV?:

Reason 1: Android TV is really "just Android," so it's fully supported in the core Android releases and keeps up to date with all the latest changes. This means that porting existing Android apps is seamless for developers.

Reason 2: You will learn more about D-pad. Android TV was redesigned for the living room experience, so all apps must be designed specifically for D-pad in the living room.

Reasons 3: It is easy! Developers typically have their Android games running in a day, and then take a couple of weeks to correctly support hardware controllers and to remove any touchscreen or phone specific text or icons.
