What we're about

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a tool that helps determine a mind's superior and inferior thought functions. Some know the MBTI as a standard for personality typology. Knowing one's own strengths and weaknesses is often the beginning of enabling growth among relationships of different kinds.

This meetup is for anyone interested in Jungian personality typology who wants to explore how and why his or her type gets along with some people but not others.

Mainly, the plan is to simply meet with this common interest in public locations. We may also enjoy other events together such as hiking or dining. Now and then seminars or workshops will be scheduled to provide an arena for personal and experiential growth.

If you don't know your type, you may get a personality assessment online. Try the one at http://humanmetrics.com, http://capt.org, or a simple and short one at http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inv... (http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inventory.html#Inventory). Please note that the assessment instrument at humanmetrics.com is not the same one offered by the Myers-Briggs Foundation, nor is this meetup affiliated with the Myers-Briggs Foundation.

Enter the Officer's club and immediately turn right - this is a large room- look for a small group with the BAAPT logo. BAAPT invites you - How We Live the 8 Functions of Our Psychological Type

Chetcuti Community Room, Millbrae Public Library

The Bay Area Association of Psychological Type (BAAPT) invites you to attend the Sat, Mar 9 meeting. In this presentation, Adam Frey will briefly review John Beebe’s “whole type” model and help us to recognize how we live out all of the types of consciousness in our daily lives. Recognizing how we express our type in activities that we don’t expect to master and control helps us to experience not only life’s richness and variety but also our own! We use our dominant type to meet challenges and demonstrate our competence, but there is more to life than mastery! For example, there is playing, laughing, worrying, dreaming, and finding fault. When we—and those around us—engage in these activities, the type expressed is very different than when we manage for smooth sailing in work and family. SFMBTI Meetup members may attend their first program meeting free of charge. Tell us you found us in SFMBTI Meetup and this is your first time at a program meeting. BAAPT Members: FREE • Non-Members: $35 Please see https://is.gd/baapt2019March for additional details and RSVP form! RSVP to ensure our count is accurate for food and handouts.
