In this months meetup we will be showing you how to build and use audio effect racks. These devices allow you to combine multiple audio effects into one rack to streamline production and live performance with effects. Any audio effect can be placed into a rack so the sound design possibilities are endless. It is our goal in this workshop to show you how audio effect racks work and how to start designing your own.
In this workshop Lenny Kiser and Evan Sirchuk will show you how to:
Part 1 - Audio Effect Rack Basics and Design
Create a custom audio effect rack
Map macro controls to create multi-effects
Learn fundamental sound design techniques for rack building
Part 2 - Advanced Rack Building
Create a ghostly multi-band beat repeater.
Design an imperfect pitch recycler
Create a realistic cassette tape style distortion.
