The Marin Headlands just north of the Golden Gate Bridge has some excellent terrain. Lush valleys, steep hills and sweeping views. A good place to ride our Trikes.
Please meet at the Mill Valley Recreation Center back parking lot.
The address is: 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley, CA 94941
From there we will be heading South on the Mill Valley - Sausalito bike path turning right onto Coyote Creek bike path to Tennessee Valley road.
First stop is at the Tennessee Valley trail head.
For those who yarn to get right close to the ocean its is short 1.7 miles to Tennessee Beach. (And a little bit longer back up).🤣

From there we turn south onto the Marincello Trail. A wide gravel road that climbs up the ridge to a beautiful view of mount Tam and southern Marin County. Then down the long and winding Bobcat Trail with stunning views of Garbode Valley below, the ocean and the wide open horizon beyond. Both trails are wide compacted dirt trails that see much use by hikers, mountain bikers the occasional horseback riders and even a rarer trike rider.

The trail ends at Rodeo Beach. a good place to have a picnic lunch and watch the surfers getting knocked about in the surf.
From there we continue on Bunker Hill Road for 2-3 miles. Then we turn right and climb up the meet Conzelman Road and a view of the golden Gate Bridge and the city on the other side of the bay.

We continue our journey up hill on Conzelman Road to the top of Hawk Hill for the best view in town. And down westward into the G.G. Recreation Area. Besides the views some other distractions in that area are the point Bonita lighthouse, The many old gun placements and bunkers. The old Nike missile base (not open on week days). and the cliffs overlooking the Pacific.
After all that, we head back on Bunker road all the way to the golden Gate Bridge,

Then across the bridge we go, and back just for the fun of it. then, still riding our trikes, we head through Sausalito ending back at our starting point in mill Valley.

The whole trip is about 33 miles with some good long, uphill challenges and daredevil downhill slopes.
Please make sure your battery is filled to capacity and your tires and brakes are in good working order. As well as bike helmets, bright rear lights, flags and drinking water are a must.
