January Meetup follow-up: Video, Join ElasticRepublic and New Live/Work Community

From: Roman Z.

Dear Seasteading enthusiasts, visionaries and doers,
We just had a wonderful January meetup on Thursday night with great networking, nice presentation and an interesting Q&A session. Please check the pictures and leave your feedback at:
http://www.meetup.com/sfbay-seasteading/events/48994582

The video recording of the meeting has been uploaded to Youtube, featuring participant introductions, Elastic Republic presentation and Q&A:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE8hfsGZmzM - please comment and share.

The big announcement is that the team behind Elastic Republic has just launched (very early beta) the first version of the portal and invites everybody to join for free:
http://elasticRepublic.com

Another worthy project is "Zeden" - creating an open, innovative live/work community to maximize the exposure to and achieve great results with other like-minded individuals.

Those interested in joining the work group or checking its progress, please look for the next email from me sometime tomorrow, which will include the links to a survey and a project management tool that is used to coordinate the project. The group has scheduled a skype call for Tuesday at 2pm to brainstorm and delegate the goals for the project - please contact me if you'd like to participate.

Also, we'd like to remind about Uportal iFocus - a result-oriented community participation system that will allow anybody to join and/or create various seasteading projects/goals and achieve tangible results in their area of expertise/interest (see the video above for a short intro).
Please sign up and join the effort (quick and free signup):

Check the detailed screencasts for the overview of the available functionality:

iFocus community participation framework was donated, setup and is being hosted/maintained by WebServiceCenter Group (http://webservicecenter.net), that pioneers the Affordable Custom Software industry and specifically, integrated innovative web applications.

On behalf of the organization team, I'd like to thank the Seasteading institute for their help and support organizing the meetup, Mike Parziale for his presentation and Mike Doty for securing the venue, managing the technical setup, etc

We'd like to keep having Seasteading meetups every month and have started planning the February meeting. We are not sure about the next topics/presentation yet, but you can already mark your calendars for Tuesday, February 21st.

Some of the ideas for the future meetups are:
1) Alternate the venue between San Francisco, South Bay and East Bay
2) Try new meeting formats (discussion panels, investment application training,

Your ideas/comments on the above (locations, topics, projects and activities) would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Roman Zhovtulya
