Studio Portraits

One of our group members, Simon, has offered his professional photography studio for a portrait session which will include artificial lighting and flash photography. Since the LF group has not done this type of a meetup before, this would be a good new experience for many of us. Thank you, Simon.

Simon sent the following useful information about this meetup session at his studio:

First the logistics of my studio the shooting area is about 16 feet wide by 30 feet deep so not really enough space for more than one person to shoot at a time. There are sofas and a similar sized area others can wait and watch as well as set up their cameras.

I would think if you get more than 12 signing up we should suggest staggering the times.

The studio can be difficult to find here are my standard directions to my clients -

The studio is located in The Plant shopping center on the corner of Monterey Highway and Curtner Ave in south San Jose. While finding the shopping center is not too hard the studio does not have an exterior sign so finding me in the center is the problem. Make sure you you enter The Plant from Monterey Highway, The main entrance with a McDonald's on the corner. My building is across the parking lot from McDonalds, the studio is above Edible Arrangements. Please be aware I have had reports of gps units sending people the wrong way on Monterey Highway. If you have any problems on the day just call and I can help you find me. If you look on Google or Bing maps the studio is listed on both as imotion photography.
