EVERY ONE WHO IS PLANNING TO COME : If you are a member in this meetup group and planning to play on Saturdays, can you please RSVP so that, it will help new members to find someone from this group. The more RSVP's the better the chance for new members to find the group. NOTE: As new members find difficulty in finding the meetup group, to help them can you all please: • Install Meetup app on your mobile • When you get to the badminton club, you will find a register on the desk where you need to sign with the time. Can you please write "Meetup" under organization/notes. So that new members can at-least know if there are anyone from meetup group who actually showed up. • Before you start playing can you please post the court number(s) (using your mobile app) where you are planning to play or where you see other meetup members playing. This will tremendously help new members. • If you see any one posting or asking a question here in this thread can you please reply when ever you can (in between the games when you take a break)

Needs a location

What we're about

Been a while since you've played badminton and ready to shake off some rust but don't know anyone to play with? That's where we come in. We schedule regular meetups at local badminton gyms. At the gyms we sign up on the free courts and play games with each other until we're tired. (And if all that exercise works up an appetite, we often go grab a bite together after the games.)

Most gyms which we choose as meetup locations cost ~$10 to enter, and have rackets available for sale or rental if you need them. We recommend you invest in a tube of shuttlecocks to bring with you. We tend to rotate whose shuttlecocks are in play so no one has to go through all of theirs in one meeting. Feather shuttlecocks are preferred.

We try to have a Meetup sign visible for newcomers so they can find us. Just ask around the courts if you don't see a sign.

While most players tend to be intermediate or advanced, there is room for beginners. Feel free to ask the group for pointers and exercises. You may find, however, that you'll learn a lot (techniques, strategies) from games with others.

See you on the courts!
