Hi everyone,
This will be about 8+ mile moderate hike at this beautiful place. This Sunday is supposed to have nice weather. The Barnabe peak has one of the best views in marin. We can also stop at the 'stairstep falls' as I guess it will be flowing after the rains.
Hike highlights: redwoods forests, creek, views and fun people.

Bring water, lunch and something to share if you like [remember, tastier snacks get you more friends http://img1.meetupstatic.com/img/smileys/wink.gif]
We'll have lunch at an overlook just after coming to an opening on top of Bills trail. This is one of my favorite lunch spots :)
Again, try to bring a blanket or something to sit on in case if the ground is wet.
Meet at the Park ranger station at 11:00AM. There is a $6 or $8 entrance fee I think.
Or you can park outside and walk in if you don't want to pay.
Directions:
From SF, cross the golden gate bridge and keep on 101 North. Near San Rafael, take the exit for 'san anselmo' which curves left and takes you to Sir Francis Drake blvd. Keep on Sir Francis Drake blvd for about 15 miles until you see the sign to the entrance of 'Samuel P Taylor State Park' [camping, picknicking sign][on the left after the town of Lagunitas]. You can pay the fee [$6 I think] and park inside the park or park on the roadside parking and walk. We'll meet near the restrooms on the left a bit further down the road from the ranger station [just before the bridge]. Approximate GPS coordinates for the park turn off: N38.019618 W122.729535 (http://goo.gl/maps/fAaO)
From eastbay, take 580 bridge and take 'Sir Francis Drake blvd' exit and follow the directions above.

Note: Please wait at the intersections if you are not sure which way to go.
As usual, after the hike, we can go somewhere for food and drinks :)
See u soon! :)
Disclaimer: Its your own responsibility to look after yourself on the hike if u decide to join us. You assume all the risks including sharing my food ;)
As usual, since meetup has removed the 'maybe' option, if you are not sure, feel free to rsvp as 'yes' and indicate 'maybe'. Does not matter if you say yes and not show up :)
