Alright kids, February is Strong Beer Month, and SF Beer Week kicks off February 6, 2009. There are oh, umpteen million events going on. Check the site here: SF Beer Week.

  • The Bistro's Double IPA Festival 2/7/09 11AM: Not much details just yet, but this is part of Strong Beer Month, and the kick off of SF Beer Week. Get your livers warmed up with a jaw-dropping selection of Double IPAs. Yeah, it can get crowded, so let's get there early!!!
  • Toronado Barleywine Festival 2/14/09 11AM: If there is ONE event to attend, this is it! Having just celebrated their 21st anniversary, the Toronado has established itself as the premiere San Francisco bar for great beer. And the annual Barleywine Festival is the original SF Beer Week event, having first been held in 1994. It is the undisputed champion of barleywine festivals. The Toronado Barleywine festival is like the big kick-off of beer festival season. They will have well over 50+ barleywines on tap for your enjoyment. Basically anyone who is someone in Northern California Beer will be there. It's practically a pilgrimage they make every year to this event . Schmoozing is encouraged!
