Although Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim is still a while away from its release, new details are beginning to emerge about the animated prequel film, gearing up plenty of anticipation for the next foray into Tolkien's universe.SOLA Digital Arts (Blade Runner: Black Lotus) provides the animation, and illustrators Alan Lee and John Howe, who worked on the original trilogy, are part of the creative team.

Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim will tell the story of Helm Hammerhand, who was crowned King of Rohan in 2741. Hammerhand presided over Rohan when the realm was warring against local Dunlendings
