The Hunger Games (Movie meetup - no reading required!)

Come join us as we watch THE HUNGER GAMES (view the trailer (http://youtu.be/p-5ANq4sAL0)), based on the bestselling YA novel by Suzanne Collins and directed by Gary Ross (SEABISCUIT, PLEASANTVILLE). The film stars Jennifer Lawrence (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS), Liam Hemsworth (THE LAST SONG), Josh Hutcherson (LITTLE MANHATTAN, CIRQUE DU FREAK: THE VAMPIRE'S ASSISTANT), Elizabeth Banks (ROLE MODELS), Stanley Tucci (CAPTAIN AMERICA, THE CORE), Woody Harrelson (ZOMBIELAND), and Donald Sutherland (THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, SPACE COWBOYS).

In a not-too-distant future, North America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcast throughout Panem. The 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss' young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district's female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart Peeta, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.

We ask that you please meet up with the group before the movie so we can accurately take attendance. If you arrive before 2:00 PM, we'll be standing downstairs near the escalators (in front of the ticket line and automated ticket machines). After that prior to the showtime, we'll start saving seats (to the extent we can for a group this big) and you can meet us right outside the entrance to our theatre room. If you arrive late, we'll re-congregate after the movie immediately outside our theatre room before walking over to the restaurant.
