Talk Details:
Talk 1: "Code Performance Explained" by Stiven Llupa
"Back in my day" - said the Developer in a pensive voice, "Back in my day, leaving xdebug enabled in production was a sin that we all had heard of. Back in my day, we enabled xdebug because it was our only hope."
Short horror stories are not for everyone, but if the one above rang true to you and you still wish you had the ability to understand code behavior at runtime, even in production, then this short talk is for you! Stiven will bring a few real-life examples of how Blackfire.io has helped them understand, fix, and optimize otherwise esoteric issues left behind by a team long gone.
Talk 2: "How We Moved Away from Spryker to Symfony (and Deleted 2M Lines of Code)" by Asmir Mustafic
Spryker is an e-commerce platform particularly popular in Germany. At Sourceability, we have encountered the limitations of Spryker and made the decision to migrate away from it, embracing the Symfony full-stack framework. In this talk, Asmir will share their journey of migrating from Spryker to Symfony and the challenges they faced along the way. He will discuss the strategies they employed to successfully transition their codebase and how they managed to remove a staggering 2 million lines of code.
Join us for an evening of insightful talks, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities. We can't wait to see you all at the Symfony User Group of June/July.
