Talk Details: "Nothing Shared, Everything Gained" by Kore Nordmann
A team shipped nothing for six months. Controllers with 2000-line methods, static calls everywhere, developers afraid to touch the code. It took 25 days to fix. The pattern repeated across 100+ teams over seven years of consulting: side effects were always the root cause. The solution: Data Objects carry state, stateless Services contain logic, Gateways push side effects to the edges. At Frontastic, these patterns survived 8 years, multiple pivots, 70 engineers, and 25x Black Friday traffic — without a single rewrite.
